Interviews to be held July 17-19, 2018, at the Executive Travel office
Executive Travel is pleased to announce that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers will be presenting a special enrollment event in Lincoln, Nebraska in July. This event is to conduct in-person enrollment interviews for applicants to CBP’s Global Entry program and will be held July 17-19, 2018 from 8 AM-4 PM in Lincoln, NE at the Executive Travel office located at 1212 O Street. This Nebraska visitation by CBP allows travelers who want to sign up for the Global Entry Pass to forego traveling to a major airport hub such as Atlanta or Chicago for an interview for final approval into the system, thus saving travelers hundreds of dollars in travel cost and the loss of a day of travel time.
Steve Glenn, CEO of Executive Travel commented, “Executive Travel will host our eleventh Global Entry interview event in Nebraska. We are excited to have been able to facilitate over seventeen-hundred interviews to help Nebraskans with the love of travel. We are able to offer Nebraskans the opportunity to save hundreds of dollars on plane tickets for a fifteen-minute interview.”
Glenn went on to say, “The Global Entry Pass Program is one of the best resources for international travelers to bypass the long lines when re-entering the country. When I return from another country, I am amazed at the time difference between Global Entry participants and the general public. It is one of the best investments an international traveler can make to avoid wasting time in a long line.”
The Global Entry Pass provides an expedited entry back into the United States when returning from an international flight. Global Entry is a CBP program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Though intended for frequent international travelers, there is no minimum number of trips necessary to qualify for the program. Global Entry participants may enter the United States by using automated kiosks located at 46 U.S. airports, as well as 13 Pre-clearance locations. For complete details on the program, please visit www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry.
Global Entry approval also allows you to be eligible to participate in the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) PreCheck program which expedites screening through TSA checkpoints at participating airports. Glenn pointed out, “Once you receive your Global Entry Pass you get the added benefit of being eligible for TSA’s PreCheck program which will save time when going through security checkpoints. For international travelers, this may be the best $100 you will ever spend.”
If you are interested in participating in the interview process at the event, you will need to apply through the Global Entry website (www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry), which takes approximately 7-10 days to receive your approval to then sign up for an interview time. At the website, applicants must first create a “Trusted Traveler Program” account and then log into their account to submit an application. When you apply, be sure to only select the Global Entry option. A $100 non-refundable application fee is paid online at the time of application. After submitting your completed application and fee, CBP will review your application. If your application is conditionally approved, then your TTP account will instruct you to schedule an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center. Each applicant must schedule a separate interview. The special enrollment location has been established “Executive Travel” which should be used when scheduling appointments in the system. Interviews will be conducted at, Executive Travel (1212 O Street, Lincoln NE 68508) on July 17-19, 2018.
