My Crystal Ball Sees Airfares Skyrocketing 3X After May 15, 2026 – If you’ve been dreaming about a trip to Europe, now’s the time to lock it in. Airfares are unusually low right now — even business class seats have been priced attractively through much of the year. But don’t expect that to last. The summer 2025 season in Europe was relatively soft, and airlines have learned from it. They’re now fine-tuning capacity and adjusting flight schedules to ensure they maximize revenue next year. My prediction? Airfares for travel after May 15, 2026, are going to skyrocket — possibly tripling in price once demand ramps up and capacity tightens. The bottom line: book early if you plan to travel to Europe next summer. Waiting until spring to buy your ticket could mean paying two to three times more than today’s bargain rates

Executive Travel’s Domestic Airfare Index jumps $58 in latest comparison of the next 4 months – Executive Travel’s Airfare Index saw a real large jump in domestic airfares in the coming 4 months. Some of this is expected at the Index measures airfares for the period December through March. Our monthly Domestic Airfare Index, which tracks round-trip coach fares from Omaha to New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Orlando, shows that as of October 10, 2025, prices have risen $58 per ticket since the index was taken one month ago. Average fares for December through March travel are now $223 round-trip. These are still very low airfares, but the rock-bottom airfares we have seen over the last 4 months are probably gone for a while.

International Coach Airfares Plunge to Multi-Year Lows – Our European Coach Class Airfare Index—tracking round-trip fares from Omaha to Paris, London, Rome, Amsterdam, and Athens—is still at the lowest point in years. As of October 10, 2025, the average fare to these five cities is just $565, a dramatic $302 drop since April. Here’s the snapshot of upcoming fares:

  • December: $565
  • January: $559
  • February: $558
  • March $579

For travelers eyeing a European getaway this winter, these prices are nothing short of a gift. While the lowest fares often require two or more connections, those willing to zigzag a bit can unlock some of the most affordable transatlantic travel we’ve seen in years. Bottom line: Now is the moment to pack your bags and experience Europe—without breaking the bank.

Business Class Airfares to Europe are very low but about to climb quickly – Business class fares to Europe are amazingly low. Last year, tickets were nearly two to three times higher. According to Executive Travel’s European Business Class Airfare Index, as of October 10, 2025, the average round-trip fare to Paris, London, Rome, Amsterdam, and Athens is just $3,028, a drop of over $92 from last month. Here’s the current month-by-month snapshot: December $3,027, January $3,080, February $2,878 and March $3164. My advice? Travel to Europe this winter to spend half the money and avoid the crowds. —Europe is calling, and business class has never been a better value!
