Airlines have added hundreds of additional flights across the pond to Europe and now are discounting airfares to get people to jump on the airplanes this winter. If you can travel to Europe in the next six months you will find amazing deals for airfares and hotels. The US Dollar is also very strong right now at about EURO to USD rate of $1.07.

With airfares to Europe so low you might want to consider a 5-day winter getaway for under $1000 – I have been looking at airfare and hotel package prices to key European cities like Rome and Paris and see that a 5 day – 4 night package after the first of the year is under $1000 per person (double occupancy). With prices this low everyone ought to consider a quick winter getaway to Europe this winter. Obviously, the lowest prices are for 3 star hotels so you may want to spend a few hundred dollars more and upgrade to a nice 4 start hotel to do things right. This sounds so much more fun than laying on a beach in Mexico and sweating all day long!
Airfares to Europe start heading higher in April next year and more than double in May – I just completed the airfare analysis to Europe and noticed that the average airfares go up 50% ($310) in April and skyrocket up 127% ($788) in May. The rest of the summer of 2024 airfares look to stay high.
I am worried that the airlines will soon add a fuel surcharge to all domestic and international airline tickets – The price of jet fuel has gone up dramatically since this summer and I am getting worried that the airlines may soon throw a fuel surcharge on all tickets purchased. With this in mind, if you buy your tickets before a surcharge is announced you lock in the prices and should not have to pay anything extra.
Domestic airline fares also drop by 60% in October – Our study shows that round-trip airfares for many domestic flights have also dropped by 60% and now average $221 for travel in October and into the winter months. I don’t know how long the airlines will keep these prices this low so you may want to pull the trigger if you plan to get out of Dodge this winter.
